Everything you need to know about TRADE ORBITAL: the product, getting started, pricing and your data. If an answer is missing, write to us and we add it.
A trading journal that acts as your source of truth, plus the dashboards that go with it. You log your sessions and your trades once, the app derives your performance statistics from them, isolates the setups that are actually profitable and tracks your discipline session after session. Nothing to recompute, nothing to maintain.
Futures scalpers and day traders, and prop traders on an evaluation or a funded account. In other words: people who make a lot of decisions, often, and who need to know which ones actually pay. If you take 2 swing positions a month, the tool will be oversized for you.
Yes, and it is honestly the best moment to build the habit. The LAUNCH plan is free and gives you the full journal, the dashboard and the overview of your stats. The advanced analytics modules only become interesting once you have accumulated enough trades anyway.
Everything is computed for you: net PnL, profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, equity curve, setup crossings, psychological metrics. No formula to maintain, no tab that breaks. And above all, a spreadsheet will never tell you that your best setup of the month is also the one you take when you are tired.
It is designed and tuned for futures (scalping and intraday), and TRADE ORBITAL already knows the specifications of 52 contracts: indices, energy, metals, currencies, rates, agriculturals and crypto. You type the symbol, the tick and its value fill themselves in, so you never have to look them up. You are not locked into that list either: you can declare any instrument with its tick and tick value, and the calculations follow whatever you declare.
No, never. TRADE ORBITAL is a tool to log and analyse your own trades. No signals, no buy or sell recommendations, no portfolio management: your decisions stay entirely yours.
No. The app connects to no broker and never asks for your broker credentials. Your trades arrive through manual logging or file import, and nothing else leaves your platform.
Into three clearly separate spaces, so logging and analysis never get mixed up. Logging: your daily journal and your portfolios. Analysis: dashboard, Performance and Edge Finder. Discipline: the Psychology page. You enter data in one place, you read everywhere else.
Three moments. Before: you fill in your pre-session (energy, focus, stress) and get a readiness score with the rule for the day. During: you log your trades with their context (setup, instrument, session, plan followed or not). After: you close with a debrief (what worked, your mistakes, how satisfied you are). Everything feeds your statistics automatically.
The module that proves your edge instead of assuming it. It crosses strategy, instrument and market type, then ranks every combination by real profitability (expectancy, profit factor, drawdown). You get a ranking of your best setups, heatmaps for each crossing, a side-by-side comparison (3 setups maximum) and the full detail of any combination: equity, drawdown, distribution and trade list.
It is self-declared, and that is deliberate: nobody can guess your mental state for you. Before the session, you rate your energy, your focus and your stress, which gives your readiness score and your Trading Permission. At debrief, you declare your state (controlled, unstable, tilted). The app then computes your emotional control rates, your discipline, your main leak and your overtrading across your whole history.
Only the readiness score and the session radar react while you trade. Everything else (performance, Edge Finder, psychological analyses) is computed on your history, so it updates as soon as you record your trades.
Yes. Each portfolio is isolated with its own trades, its own strategies and its own statistics: evaluation, funded account, personal account, demo. You switch between them from the top bar. The LAUNCH plan allows 1, the PRO plan 5, and the ORBITAL plan as many as you want.
2 on the LAUNCH plan, 5 on PRO, and an unlimited number on ORBITAL. You can rename them on every plan. Instruments are never limited.
Not yet, it is coming to the ORBITAL plan. The idea is guidance that reads your real data to point out your weak spots and your strengths, without making things up: it will comment on what your history shows, not on what a model imagines.
There is no app to install, but the site works on phone and tablet: navigation switches to a side menu and the pages adapt. For quick logging it is comfortable, for deep analysis a large screen is still nicer.
A few minutes. You create your account, confirm your email, and a demo portfolio is already there so you can click around without breaking anything. Creating your real portfolio and your first strategies then takes two or three minutes.
Yes, a "Demo 100k" portfolio is created automatically when you sign up, with two strategies. It is your sandbox: you can keep it, empty it or delete it once your real accounts are in place.
No. You can start from today and let the history build up, which is the most common way to begin. If you do want to recover the past, trade import is there for that (PRO and ORBITAL plans).
Yes, Jigsaw import is available on the PRO and ORBITAL plans, and more platforms and prop firms are landing progressively. There is also a global CSV import, meant to re-inject an export from the app: it matches your portfolios by name and skips trades that are already there, so importing the same file twice creates no duplicates.
There is no magic threshold, but the app warns you: any combination with fewer than 10 trades is flagged as a low sample. Treat the first few weeks as building the habit, and setup analytics as useful from a few dozen trades per combination onwards.
Nothing serious, you can go back to any date and complete it afterwards. The notification bell also flags pre-sessions you have not filled in and debriefs left open, so the gaps do not pile up.
That is the central use case. In an evaluation you almost never fail for lack of setups: you fail by breaking your own rules. Tracking whether the plan was followed, measuring discipline and scoring readiness exist precisely to see that coming, rather than noticing it afterwards.
Not automatically, there is no catalogue of rules per firm. What you do instead: one dedicated portfolio per account, with its starting balance, its strategies and its drawdown tracking. You declare whether the plan was followed, and the app measures how consistent you are on that.
Yes, they are two distinct portfolios with their own statistics, and you can type them (evaluation, funded, personal, demo). No data is mixed between the two, and you can compare their performance whenever you like.
Three plans. LAUNCH is free forever: full journal, dashboard, overview of performance and psychology. PRO at 19,99 € per month (or 199,90 € per year, which is 16,66 € per month) adds the full performance suite, psychology in depth, the Edge Finder and trade import. ORBITAL at 29,99 € per month (or 299,90 € per year, which is 24,99 € per month) lifts every limit and will unlock the AI Coach.
No, LAUNCH is free forever and requires no credit card. It is limited in volume (1 portfolio, 2 strategies) and does not open the advanced modules, but it never expires.
Yes for the paid plans: 7 days of trial with a card required, and nothing charged if you cancel before it ends. That is what lets the subscription start without any extra step if the tool suits you. The trial can be used once per account.
From inside the app, under Settings then Plans & subscription, with a cancel button. It works during the trial and after it. The subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then stops: no notice period, no email to send.
It stays. You lose access to the modules reserved for higher plans, but nothing is deleted and everything becomes available again if you reactivate a paid plan. You can also export all of your data at any time, including on the free plan.
Payment goes through Stripe: your card details never pass through our servers and are never stored on our side. Your invoices and your payment method are managed from the Stripe customer portal, reachable directly from the Plans & subscription tab.
Yes, in both directions and at any time, from Plans & subscription. Moving up to a higher plan is immediate, and the proration is handled by Stripe.
Yes. Your trades, your notes and your statistics are yours. You can export them whenever you want and delete your account permanently. No data is sold, rented, or used for advertising.
A global CSV export, available from Settings then Data, on every plan including the free one. It contains your portfolios and every column of your trades, so a file readable in any spreadsheet, and re-importable into the app.
Yes, from Settings then Security, with password confirmation. Deletion is permanent: your account and all of your trading data are purged. Remember to run your export first, there is no going back.
On servers located in Europe, and transactional emails also leave from European infrastructure. Traffic with the site is encrypted (HTTPS).
Yes, and it is automatic: your data is backed up twice a day, with nothing for you to do. Every backup is kept somewhere other than the server running the app, in Europe, with two weeks of history. If the server were to go down, your trading history would still be there. We still recommend running your own export from time to time: that copy is yours, and it depends on nobody.
Nobody but you. Every request checks that the requested portfolio really belongs to the signed-in account, so another user can neither list nor read your data, even knowing an identifier.
Yes, it is required at sign-up: you receive a verification link and access opens once you click it. If the email takes its time, check your spam folder and use the resend button shown on screen.
From the login screen, click "Forgot password". You receive a reset link valid for one hour. For security reasons, the message shown is the same whether the address exists or not.
Yes, from Settings then Profile. The change asks for your current password, then an email validation: the confirmation link goes to your current address if it is already verified. So nobody can hijack your account by changing the address.
Yes. You enable it under Settings then Security: scan a QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password…) and a 6-digit code will be required at every sign-in. Backup codes are given to you when you enable it, so you can still get in if you lose your phone. Login attempts remain rate limited, and you can see and revoke your connected devices at any time.
French and English. The selector is in your avatar menu, top right, and the change is immediate. This marketing site has both versions too, with the FR / EN button in the top bar.
The currency is set per portfolio, when you create or edit it: an account funded in euros stays in euros, another in dollars stays in dollars, and each one displays its own. The time zone is set once, under Settings then Localization; it makes sure "today" matches your trading day rather than the server’s.
Yes, Settings then Security lists your active sessions with the browser, the system and the last activity. You can revoke one, or sign out all other devices at once.

Write to us with the page involved and what you were doing just before: that is what lets us reproduce it and fix it fast. A screenshot helps a lot.
Yes, and it is welcome. The tool is built with traders who use it every day, and a good part of the roadmap comes from user requests. Tell us what you are missing and why.
Continuously. New things arrive as small regular releases rather than big overhauls, and the questions that keep coming back end up on this page.
